Those other methods are
probably not doing the right things,
or not enough of them.
And some method's instructions about tightening or exercising, can make a
person's zig zag misalignments worse and then
they feel even tighter.
And for almost everyone, we should NOT have to get pounded and

But the BIG key is to go
directly to the fascia.
Now, here's more specific analysis of, maybe,
YOUR FASCIA SHAPE.
AND, what you can do to lengthen it.
Are
your shoulders turned in, your upper back and neck tight,
your low back hurt, you have hip issues, crunches make you hurt
worse, you have really tight legs or pelvis-buttocks, etc?
Maybe you work out a lot, or you use a computer a lot.
It's all the same result pretty much. because you grew
up with it, too.
How do you lengthen THIS
FASCIA effectively?
--- That is simply a matter of pushing with hands-on or pulling
with a special way of stretching.
--- The other criteria is to lengthen the fascia in long areas of
the body - not in short local areas.
--- Whole lengths
shorten because of activities and life long zig zags.

You don't need to pound on fascia to try to lengthen it, because fascia has nothing to do with
YOUR "letting go."
--- Fascia is a fluid with gelatinous fibers in it.
--- It surrounds all your muscle fibers & it holds all the muscle fibers,
nerves and blood vessels of the muscle in the shape of a muscle, so you
can pick it up.
---At the ends of the muscle fiber lengths, the fascia becomes thicker &
tougher & becomes your harder, long, thinner tendons, which attach the
muscle body to the two bones.
---When you activate the muscles, the fascia contracts & the tendons pull
the bones so your joints fold, or straighten. This is how we move
around.
---Fascia Shape can be changed by pushing the fibers closer
together, or pulling or pushing them farther apart.
---Your athletic or stressful efforts, or your repetitive activities,
cause the fascia to get shorter & more compressed.
---MY stretching METHOD & the Structural Integration Bodywork relengthen
and de-compress it.
You don't need to put electrical therapy or ultrasound on
fascia
to try to lengthen it.
These methods definitely have been known to help muscle and
nerve tissue to heal from inflammation or other kinds of
injury, to THEM.
While these can help muscle fibers
get more nutrition to rebuild them, they do not lengthen fascia.
So a different method that makes the fascia lengthen significantly would
be more direct.
How do we do it on the
phone? You
just put your arms, torso & legs in the positions I describe
to you, & we work it together, seeing how you are feeling
doing them
WHAT positions we
do, and HOW we lengthen the fascia in the positions, is THE
KEY. These are
positions and fascia lengthening techniques that come out of
the Structural Integration methods & its "erectness, length
and alignment" goals.

Erectness requires length
from the bottom up, but that is easier done
with an interconnected fascia lengthening approach from the arms and
top down as well.
Shoulders are affected by the legs, arms, abdominals,
& head, amongst other places. If someone tries to fix
your shoulders by just focusing on your shoulders, my own
opinion based on my experience, is it does not fix it.
You please tell me if you have found something that does fix
it with shoulder work only.
Arms interconnect with the front, sides & back of the torso, the vertical
sections of the torso
interconnect in a vertical series & in a front to back link-up. The
legs & pelvis connect both
to the pelvis & lower back from below & from the entire torso, neck & head
from above.
Easy to understand positioning of the body allows the collagen fibers of
the fascia to spread apart,
being pulled back to where they are supposed to be located, in one inch by
two inch
applications.
And the application of interconnected muscle lengthenings down
the
sufficient amount of appropriate lines, brings up the head & neck, opens
the chest &
rib cage, makes the torso straighter up and down and lighter, relieves
lower & middle back tightness, & loosens & lengthens the legs & pelvis
even up to the spine & head.
Finishing up with hands-on spreading of the head & face muscle
networks removes
even more stress, tiredness & tightness of both the head & neck & the rest
of the body, including the spine, inner abdomen & even the move ability &
strength of the legs.
